It's been a super fun night with Allan and friends!! His food is amazing, taste excellent but not heavy at all. Allan is a part-time DJ and event organiser and he likes to meet people and mingle with guests. We sit down together for a nice dinner, shared drinks.. he cooked and two of us stay till really late with some of his friends dropping by. Don't waste the chance just going for a "nice dinner" but have a good chats share your thoughts nice music etc. :)) will definitely go back or join some other events from Allan!! Looks super fun!!! :))

Allan was a briliant host and an aspiring chef. His place on Second Street is a nice space which he tastefully set up for my and my friends to enjoy a cozy dinner. Food was great and we particularly liked the salad. Allan instantly blended in the group like an old friend. It was a lovely evening of great food and company. I definitely look forward to the next dining experience at Allan's place.

It was very pleasant to have dinner at Allan's DJ salon. Food was great, Environment was chill and well located. And Allan himself is a friendly and open minded person who is very easy to communicate with.

The environment at the DJ Salon is very relax - a modern and minimal space decorated with some candles and a video projection. Besides Allan selected a chilly nice music matching with the Video for the dinning. Which is a highlight of the environment.

We had a full dinning menu for the night - begins with salad & a really well cooked scollop as starter. Then the we have Spanish cream soup with blue cheese and toasted bread. This dish is the one i like the most - first of all the Spinach and the creamy favours are well balanced. Also it's not too liquid and with mashed veggie kind of a texture. There is also main course ingredient option is flexible. As it was supposed to serve steak for everyone , but due to I don't eat beef, Allan arranged a lobster for my main course. Which is really sweet :) He has to prepared this dish for longer time ago since it's a served as a cold dish. which is perfect for hot summer night in HK.

We had a crème brûlée to finish our night. Everything was well done and it's a really nice thing to do for Sunday dinner. Allan was cooking and joining the dinner in the same time. So that we can enjoy the nice vibe and good foods together.

Dinning at DJ Private Salon was really a good decision for our Sunday evening. The price is really valuable for the menu, also the environment. We all had a great dinning experience here and highly recommend this options to other plate culture users.

The PlateCulture experience at Allan's place is truly one of a kind! I enjoy art and culture, so I love spending time in the Sheung Wan area visiting the art galleries. However, I have yet to dine in an art gallery so I was pleasantly surprised when I entered a space that operates as an art gallery during the day and a private dining area at night. There was a projector still running with a video that was played for the gallery. Allan welcomes us the way you'd expect your friend to welcome you to their house. "Make yourself feel like you're at home" and for the whole night, we really chatted, laughed, dined, drank like we have known each other for a long time. For me this is a true social dining experience, it's me visiting a friend, having a good catch up over great food! :)
Allan used some of the finest ingredient for his dishes, incredibly high quality wagyu and sirloin steak was definitely the highlight. They were slow cooked for hours and then finished with a blow torch to give it that barbecued taste. The beef literally melts in your mouth. I recommend it to any steak lovers as we all know it's so hard to find good steak in HK.
If you are looking for something quirky, in the hip neighbourhood of Sai Ying Pun, meet a friendly host who has an opinion and not shy to express it, then Allan's is definitely the place to be. The multi-talented Allan is truly one of a kind!
