Enjoy vegetarian/vegan versions of Malay signature local savoury dishes such as nasi lemak and lemak cili, rich in coconut milk. The aroma of fresh, authentic Malay food will delight your nostrils, and the rich taste will make you want to come back for more!

Malaysia is food paradise, but it can be difficult for vegetarians and vegans alike to find meat-free options. Luckily for you, this is my specialty!

I enjoy cooking with fresh herbs such as pandan leaf and curry leaf. In addition to Malay cooking, I also cook a fusion of western vegetarian meals at home. So it's not unusual to find me cooking Thai, French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, and Spanish recipes which are all plant-based..

My recipes are healthy because I don’t use MSG & preservatives, I always use fresh and natural ingredients, I cook all of my recipes from scratch, and I use LOTS of vegetables. I love cooking, and I put my heart and soul into it… plus, a few age-old family cooking secrets passed down from generation to generation :)

The result is delicious, guilt-free food you won’t be able to get enough of. Oh, and everything in my kitchen is cooked spicy! (although non spicy is available upon request ;))

Private home kitchens also known as underground restaurants are super popular in the UK/USA/Japan/HK but in Taiwan, the concept is kinda crazy and unheard of. The idea behind this is a social dining eating experience operating out of someone’s home. They are, in effect, paying dinner parties. They are usually advertised by word of mouth or guerilla advertising, and may require references to make a reservation.

The only difference between most supper clubs and my event is that I might dine with guests too. The whole idea is for me to know you and for you to know me. So what better way than to have me join you guys in the meal and we can talk about everything under the sun! (Although please let me know if you need it to be private, and I can definitely cater)

I believe plant-based food does make a lot of differences to a meal and this is how we express our food culture and bringing people together at the same time.

    A non-dairy dreamer born in Taiwan. Loves to travel and experience a plethora of cultures and cuisine.

    Holds a bachelor degree of vocational education in food catering from Malaysia which means specialization in big-batch cooking. Dreaming of opening own vegetarian restaurant and catering. Passionate about food, dancing and outdoor activities and can be found most weekends in the kitchen or having picnic with family and friends.

    One day I aim to be feeding my plant-based food to people from all over the world.

I had a fantastic experience at this cooking class. I've always wanted to learn how to cook authentic Malay food, and was very lucky to find this class. Anis' food is delicious, her communication skills are great, and she's a very patient teacher. I'll probably do another class to learn how to cook different types of foods from her. Great day trip if you're coming from Singapore, or live in JB. Highly recommended!
