About the kitchen


My food will make you feel at 'home' (if you called Malaysia your home) because my concept is "traditional Malaysian food". My starters are mainly Malaysian street food (food we can easily get in Malaysia but can hardly/never get in the UK). You can mix and match the starter with the main course of your choice. Here you go!

Starters:

1) Malay style - Fried fish fritters (keropok lekor) with homemade sauce
2) Chinese style - Stuffed tofu with sweet chili sauce (suitable for vegan)
3) Indian style - Rojak pasembur (mixed vege, tapioca crackers, and tofu) (suitable for vegan)

Main courses:

1) Malay chicken curry with jasmine white rice - served with cucumber salad (acar)
2) Indian chicken curry with potato (or a vegan option-sweet potato with tofu)
3) Chinese sweet and sour chicken (or a vegan option-tofu with vege)
4) Chinese style - Soya sauce chicken with egg (Lor Bak)
5) Malaysian Nasi Lemak (rice cooked with coconut cream)-served with fried chicken, fried anchovies, roasted peanuts, hard boiled egg, sliced cucumber and sambal (of course!)

    I am a Phd student at Durham University and I 'enjoy' being in the library and cooking when I am back at home to de-stress! I also enjoy singing and doing arts during my free time. Most importantly, I enjoy making new friends :)
