A local HK home cook, chasing after my food dream. I love food, so I spend most of my time learning about food! I like to eat, cook and learn about different food cultures when traveling. Apart from cooking, I love dogs and enjoy volunteering with my dogs.
The taste was very nice. Despite in a very limited time due to our schedule, Chris managed to cook and serve us with quality.
Every plates served are flawless.
The onion soup was a surprise, because it was unbelievable tasty. Never heard of or tried an onion soup like that.
Thank you Chris. We enjoyed it.
Thanks to Kennel's kitchen, me and my friends have a wonderful time. Amazing food! Cozy environment ! Lobsters, seafoods, pasta (home-made) are so delicious and well presentation; we took tons of pix too bad can't upload here ! And what's interesting is that you never get bored there, awesome chef with his lovely 4 pets. They really keep us happy laughter for the whole evening. Sum up this is great experience, good price and definitely we will come again!
This was an excellent experience!! The food was extremely tasty and the lobster was done perfectly :9 Also, Chris de-shelled the whole lobster so me and my friend can eat it gracefully - 10 points for Gryffindor! LOL! I wish I could upload the pictures to plate culture. I have recommended it to many of my friends already. Fine dinning food quality, reasonable price, nice and friendly chef, I will definitely come back again!
Chris is an awesome chef. You get this cozy feeling once u step into his house. You never get bored in his house as his two cats n two dogs kept us busy for the whole evening! It was a joy to see him preparing the food too. The food was just great and I think this is the best meal I hav (so far) in 2016! The price is just a bargain!
Kennel kitchen was a wonderful introduction to plateculture.com for us. The food was amazing and our chef was such a wonderful host. Seafood and meat lovers would both love this place. We are definitely going to come back!
My wife, my visiting brother-in-law and I had an wonderful evening at Kennel Kitchen. It's great to have home-cooked Western food using fresh ingredients and we enjoyed the company of chef Chris, Audrey and their friendly pets. It really beats going to the restaurant on a Friday night.
The onion soup was the highlight for me as I like simple dishes that are executed well. I have a big appetite and I was totally full and very satisfied by the end of the evening.
Chris is a passionate chef and loves what he is providing on Plateculture.
Overall, we would definitely like to visit again and would love to try the Seafood menu on our next visit.
Being an avid food lover who goes around eating at various restaurants and constantly trying new things, Kennel Kitchen really took everything up a notch. I guess people would have to tolerate my talking about this dining experience for a long time. :)
From the initial communication, to our first meeting, to the cozy décor of their home, to the furry babies, then to the food, and everything in between was just beyond perfection. You can clearly see the passion Chef Chris has for what he does, we wish we could just try all their menus! I have personally never left a place with as big as smile as I had last night.
Thank you Chef Chris for making this the most memory joint birthday dinner David and I had - every dish was just incredible; thank you Audrey for keeping us entertained while food was being prepared - we hope your back feels better. Thank you Ice Cream, Coffee, Ding Ding and Tofu for being such great companions for our dinner.
It was a great and pleasant experience for me. My 2nd. time with PlateCulture. Will definitely go back whenever I am in HKong. Chris is a wonderful and bubbly host. Patient and cool. Thank you so much for this privilege.I thoroughly enjoyed his company plus his cooking.
We had another wonderful evening with plate culture thanks to kennel's kitchen. It really did not disappoint at all. The food tasted delicious just as they appeared in the pictures you see. One of the freshest salads I've had in Hong Kong with the best accomplishments. The lobster was truly amazing and so well presented. You can feel the amount of effort that has been put into the presentation, the taste of the food and the atmosphere was friendly right from the start. We really felt at home, not to mention the two beautiful cats and two playful dogs who were very entertaining to say the least. I think kennel's kitchen is already enjoying lots of success on plate culture and you can definitely know why. We would love to come again to try more of your new recipes. Thank you so much.
Where do I begin with Chef Chris? I was in awe of the amazing food that Chris prepare before us in his open kitchen. Plate after plate of aesthetically-astounding and delicious food, starting with a prawn lantern salad and a coquilles saint jacques followed by the richest lobster bisque ever tasted. Then he presented us with his signature dish -- fresh whole lobster with brown butter sauce AND homemade pasta with sea urchin butter. Just when we thought I couldn't get any better, he whips out his cotton candy machine and proceeds to make a surprise dessert. Needless to say, it was amazing. We had a great evening of food and company with his two cats and two dogs (the gentlest and nicest dachshund and shiba I've ever encountered). Would not hesitate a second to recommend anyone to try Kennel Kitchen. Thank you, Chris!
