Chef Lili is a wonderful host and we were given a warm friendly welcome. Love her handmade Sri Lanka national biscuit and ginger tea. Delicious food, excellent service, and an overall awesome experience!

It was our first try at Plate Culture, and what a start! Delicious, aromatic Sri Lankan cuisine and warm hospitality! It was great meeting Dilrukshi & family, and discussing culture, food and loads of other things. Overall it was a fantastic opportunity to eat home cooked delicacies and getting to know a great family.

This was my first experience with dining at someone's house on PlateCulture. Dilrukshi and her family were really friendly and the food was amazing. Right from the starters to the main meal and the dessert, it was all so tasty. Everything is home-cooked with really good ingredients straight from Sri Lanka. It was five of us, and there was more than enough food for everyone...so come hungry. :-) You can tell that Dilrukshi really enjoys cooking and having guests over by the wonderful stories she tells about Sri Lanka and her love for making a great meal. Everything was great, even down to the details like the brinjal in the Lamprais. Don't hesitate and book an awesome meal with her.

It was lovely to go to Dilrukshi's house for dinner again. The whole family made us feel very welcome and we loved finding out more about life in Sri Lanka. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous. We took our friend from the UK who really enjoyed it. We can't wait to go again. Thanks so much

A delightful and friendly family welcomes you into their home with warmth and positive energy. The food was delicious and the entire experience was worth the trip out to Ampang (not the KL neighborhood, but the eastern suburb).

Lili and her family were so hospitable and her food was extremely delicious. My friends and I had such a memorable afternoon at her house. Lili baked some cupcakes for our friend who was celebrating his birthday which was a very thoughtful and unexpected generous gesture. Thanks so much for having us!

Authentic Sri Lankan food, which was delicious, served in generous portions. Dilrukshi and her family were very welcoming, and told us lots of stories about Sri Lanka. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to return soon.

What a fantastic experience, absolutely delighted with the traditional Srilankan cuisine and the conversation with Lily and her two daughters. I would strongly recommend everyone to visit Lilys house, especially for the baked Lamprais :)

I will come again soon Lily with my mom as promised. You take care till then and have a lovely trip back home.

See you soon :)

My second time dining at Lili's and it was as yummy as the first! Consistency certainly is second nature to Chef Lili as she nailed it again with an ever so delicious meal. This time, she introduced us to kothu roti, a typical Sri Lankan street food made with chopped up roti (akin to our roti canai) and stir fried with onions, egg and cubed chicken pieces, almost char kway teow like but for the hint of turmeric and other spices. Surprisingly Chef Lili's version of it was non-greasy and very tasty. I delightfully devoured every morsel of it despite trying hard to keep room in the tummy for the entree, the chicken lamprais! After two wonderful meals at Chef Lili's, I am truly convinced; I am really booking Sri Lanka as my next holiday destination .. for its hill stations, sandy beaches and stilt fishermen .... and definitely, its food. Thank you, once again, Chef Lili and family! Keep the delicious meals coming!

My friend & I enjoyed the evening at Lili's very much. The company was good & easygoing, & more importantly the food was simply delicious, never eaten anything this good for a while. We had an authentic home-cooked Sri Lankan meal; unadulterated, everything made from scratch including the spices. However, we were told that the chili heat in the dishes had been toned down to suit local taste buds. The meal started with fish frikadellers, crispy-edged hoppers served with seeni sambol & a turmeric based potato curry. The main dish, to me the best yet in these parts, was the lamprais.... Dutch Burgher influenced oven baked banana leaf wrapped packets of rice with aubergine & plantain sambals, curry chicken, egg, To end the delicious dinner, we had watalappan, a nutmeg spiced coconut custard made with jaggery, & washed down with lightly sweetened ginger tea. All in, an unforgettable meal, worthy of the hour-long drive from PJ to Chef Lili's pleasant home in Ampang. I would recommend Chef Lili to any foodie looking to explore Sri Lankan cuisine, or simply for the good food & good company! Thank you, Chef Lili & family.

We had a great time learning about Sri Lankan cuisine, and getting to know Lili and her family as well. It was great that Lili explained to us about each meal we ate, and about the different ingredients used and how the meals were prepared. Definitely an interesting experience and something we would do again. Thanks Lili & Family!

We had real authentic Sri Lankan food at Dilrukshi's. For a moment, I felt like in Sri Lanka having local food. Her food did not only taste good but was presented and prepared with so much love and attention to details. She and her family hosted us so well and we exchanged a lot of stories. Superb experience and would definitely recommend to my friends :)

Dilrukshi and her husband are wonderful hosts. We had so much fun changing stories about Sri Lankan culture and even were lucky to see wedding photos of hosts. Dilrukshi is great a chef and I can assure that this was the best Sri Lankan food I have ever tried! Amazing snacks by the way!!!!
