I started to cook when I was a child, helping my grandmother and mom.
Hosts were very friendly. We’ve been to a few plate culture experiences and paid the same amount each time. In comparison to the others we were a little disappointed with the value. The potential for the roof top is amazing so would invest a bit of time to
This was a wonderful dinner, the food was so fresh and tasted completely different from the fare in the restaurants. It was absolutely delicious and we could not finish the food.
There was a lovely walk through the village and the chef was kind enough to meet us at the pier and walk us there.
A lovely romantic evening in a setting that did not feel like HK
Great experience overall. We have special dietary requirements and the host has kindly (and swiftly) prepared a customised menu for us. There are plenty of foods and the food is of great quality. The host is also very friendly.
An excellent day out with hubby and Bruce (doggie), it was a bit hot but we still enjoyed the view. The food was scrumptious and Irene and Gadi were extremely accommodating. Will definitely be back!!
Wonderful rooftop dinner, amazing food and lovely hosts.
I was able to easily communicate with the hosts and they were very happy to accommodate my requests. The food was delicious, plenty to eat and barbecued freshly in front of us.
We were a small party of 4 guests and we all really enjoyed the beautiful & peaceful mountain views from the rooftop, and loved dining under the evening/night sky.
I had requested a three course meal, which Irene and Gadi happily accommodated. We enjoyed homemade lemonade, hummus, eggplant, carrot salad & pita, lamb, chicken & salad, and apple strudel for dessert.
Great experience, highly recommended and will go back again!
This experience was fantastic! Gadi & Irene were so accommodating - they prepared ahead by decorating their home to accommodate our theme for a special event; even checking the weather forecast days ahead so we could plan properly.
I cannot speak highly enough about the food; it was amazing. So good that I'm taking other guests back there this week!
They were both very hospitable - it was my first time dining in a PlateCulture kitchen and I wasn't sure how I would feel about being in someone else's house, but Gadi and Irene were both so lovely and welcoming. Such an enjoyable experience. Slightly out of the way in a car-less village in Mui Wo, making for a peaceful and interesting change from regular restaurant dining. Fabulous rooftop and green views, and a pleasant walk to their house.
We had such a great night at Gadi and Irene's! Sadly the weather wasn't good so we couldn't use the rooftop but they were extremely accommodating, from the day we booked until the evening. We were a group of 15 for a baby shower and they went out of their way leading up to the night to make sure we were happy, even decorating their lounge with baby shower decorations. The food was plentiful and really good with hummus and breads to nibble on from the moment we arrived. Gadi met us at the ferry pier and walked us there before turning back to collect the baby shower lady, playing along with the act that he was a family friend of other friends to maintain the surprise for our mum to be! There was no pressure to leave after dinner and we sat around until late enjoying ourselves. It really was a great evening and a huge thanks to Gadi and Irene for hosting!
Thanks a lot for such a great experience! We absolutely enjoyed the food, the company and the view. It was all so very beautiful and just perfect from start to finish. We had never tried anything like that before. After trying your food, guys, we can definitely say that food can be real art! Highly recommended!
