I was born and raised in Israel. My kitchen is influenced by my grandparent cooking, and their home country cuisines. I been inspired by the ingredients and freshness of local Arabic food. All of our house hold are vegetarian as I am for the last 30 years.
I love cooking, eating and exploring new tastes. I love fresh seasonal ingredients ,fragrant herbs and spices. I believe that food need to be fresh, tasty, healthy and simple so you could shared it with others.
My food is Middle Eastern home cooking. We also do cooking classes and events.
I would never have imagined that such a heaven exist in HK. Thank you Ayelet for making this possible and for welcoming us into your home! Best food, best company, best conversation. What more can we ask for! Gonna be back again soon!
Our day at Ayelet's Olive Leaf was a gorgeous experience, and unique in Hong Kong. Communication in advance was great, and from our arrival at the pier, Jack met us and led the way to their home. We were 10 friends for brunch. Their home is absolutely charming. As the afternoon unfolded, I could see that Ayelet pays such attention to detail. Each dish was as beautiful as it was delicious! And the food never stopped coming, dish after dish. It was a magnificent feast. I want to return, soon! Highly recommended!
We had a great afternoon with Ayelet, Jack and the two lovely dogs. The food was absolutely amazing and they have done up the house very tastefully. Because of inclement weather we would not enjoy the outdoor setting but will definitely be back for that!
I would like to send a wonderful thank you to our hosts Ayelet and her husband Jack. Outstanding!
It was an amazing experience and one that I would highly recommend to all my friends and visitors. Their home was like a hidden gem on Lamma Island the moment we stepped of the ferry and was greeted by Ayelet herself, breathtaking!
Quota from one of colleague " I just LOVED today and as I sit here marking my books, I do so with a bloody big grin on my face"
Another message was that it was" DREAMY"
Had lovely day and learnt a lot.
Can't say anymore, if you want to do something different in Hong Kong, I highly recommend Ayelet's cooking class, as it's such a beautiful way to spend a lazy Sunday with a group of good friends and a lovely host . After the cooking class, we sat in their beautiful garden eating her mouthwatering dishes that we prepared before hand.
Stunning, would do it again in a heartbeat.
This was without doubt the best dining experience my friends and I have ever had in our 6 years in Hong Kong! I can't recommend it enough.
Ayelet is from Israel and makes the most delicious and authentic feast you could imagine. Flavours, colours, ingredients and stories, it's like stepping into a different world in her beautiful home. It was my friend's baby shower and she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and at home. It was also unbelievable value for money, more food and wine than we could ever hope to consume!
We can't wait to go back.
It has been a little over a month since my first PlateCulture experience but, in my mind the unforgettable experience is just as fresh.
Spoilt for choice from a variety of dishes with vibrants hues, layers upon layers of textures that entice your palette and that understated satisfying taste. Vegetarian has never been so tempting and exciting for me!
Even the tea was moreish all in a very good way.
Chef Ayelet and her husband Jack were graciously accommodating and attentive. Naturally warm laid back atmosphere that could easily make you at ease in such a relaxing attractive abode.
Oh, and did I mention it's in Lamma? It's a remarkable venue for an interesting unique dining experience. What's not to like?
We had a magical afternoon at Aylete's lovely home. Non of us are vegetarian and we were blown away by how delicious and filling everything was. It was truly a memorable and amazing afternoon. Aylete and her husband were wonderful hosts paying attention to every detail and serving food so good and of such high quality you could never find in a restaurant. This food had heart and soul! ❤️👍
Thanks so much for hosting the food plate culture experience! The food was absolutely amazing, and we loved all of the different type of dishes. Ayelet and Jack were really hospitable, and we're really friendly- providing us lots of drinks.
The Labane- yogurt cheese was homemade and fresh. My favourite dishes was the eggplant pomegranate and the vines leaves with rice. The Shakshuka was also very well Cooked and fresh!
The whole environment of their home was lovely, and very welcoming- you really felt at home.
There's also an abundance of food, so it's a great value for your money!
The only thing is you have to plan ahead and take the ferry, but it's a unique experience to travel to Pak Kok Village, and a nice getaway from the bustling city of HK!
Amazing food and beautiful environment. Ayelet cooks from the heart and truly enjoys sharing her home with guests. Ayelet's gorgeous family, dogs and other guests are all part of the wonderful experience. I will be going back for sure.
My booking was a surprise for my girlfriend. Ayelet and Jack made every effort to insure the the surprise was not spoilt including carefully leading us to their home by walking their dog many meters ahead of us. When my girlfriend and I arrived at the house and saw the outdoor table set up, Goda exclaimed, "Oh look! It's like a restaurant! Maybe we could have lunch here one day?"
It was perfect.
Furthermore the meal was absolutely delicious. The quantity of food was objectively too plentiful but this fits the culture of the kitchen ;)
We shared an unforgettable afternoon full of delightful conversation and exquisitely delicious food.
We had a fabulous lunch with Olive Leaf on Lamma Island. The food was outstanding - both delicious and beautifully prepared. The other guests were charming, the sun was shining. Highly recommend this and will certainly go again sometime.
What a lovely experience!
It was my first time to go to Pak Kok Tsuen where Ayelet and her family lives. It was great that the weather cooperated and allowed us to eat outdoors.
Everything Ayelet prepared for us to eat tasted great. What a feast! I especially enjoyed the labane cheese and the grilled eggplant salad. I left Pak Kok Tsuen very happy and glad that I managed to join Ayelet's event. Highly recommended!!
Ayelet and her family lives in small island Yung Shue Wan which is reachable by boat from Hong Kong Island Central. Only 30min away from the busy Hong Kong it is a great escape. It’s a pity I have visited them in the evening but I bet in the daylight the island and Ayelet’s house with garden looks beautiful. Their family with two very nice dogs is really friendly and Ayelet knows well Isreal dishes. The vegetarian dishes really fit the island’s atmosphere with beautiful nature. Ayelet is a wonderful chef and the dinning experience was amazing.
