About the kitchen


At Mixtape Chef, we recreate the classic dishes from my travels. I believe the classics dishes are around today because they have evolved and been perfected over the years, but more often that not, just not executed correctly or not tastes authentic. Having tasted, researched and tested, I look forward to share these timeless dishes with you the way they should taste like.

Our meals follow a typical Italian meal structure of 4 courses as we found it to be the right length for a proper feast and good conversations and good time (the Italians got it right :p). We will start with Antipasto- whet the appetite; Primo- carb dish to ease you into the meal; Secondo- a protein course, and finally Dolce- a sweet dessert to complete the feast. :)

The menu can be customized depending on your food preference, if you are unsure, any of our handmade pasta dishes, Paella or Stews would be great choices.

We have converted our entire living room into dining area with air conditioning and we can sit a maximum of 10 pax, Guests are free to bring your own alcohol or we are happy to arrange some wines which should pair well with your meal for you. As we still do hold day jobs, we unfortunately can only host on the weekends.

Lastly, as this is a housing district, we do kindly ask the meal to end no later than 11 pm. Hope to see you soon!

    I am a firm believer to best way appreciate a new culture would be through its food, even when language is an issue. There is something magical about food that transcends boundaries. During my travels, I always make it a point go off the beaten track to seek out restaurants filled only with locals as they are always the best food around. :)

    Besides cooking, I also enjoy fishing occasionally and jamming funk and classic rock tunes with my band.

Kenneth and his girlfriend Laurie were good hosts and made very delicious pallela! Its easy to see that they have so much passion for good food and use the finest ingredients available. It was a Spanish feast indeed! This is their first attempt at having a guest over, so they had their own friends join in as well. Good job, and I hope that more people sign up to eat with them!
